My Brother's Gavel

One of my first inspirations to become a lawyer was actually an inanimate object! As silly as it sounds, my brother's gavel was one of my first inspirations. Now most of you probably wont know what a gavel is! Thats okay, I had to google it up right before I wrote this to make sure I got the right term. So basically a gavel is the judge's mallet that you see being hit on the wooden block before they say "guilty!" or "innocent!". Now why did this inspire me? Well to be honest, it was just fun to play with. My brother won that gavel from a mock-law case competition, and he would always let me play with it. The reason why i value this inspiration is because, even the simplest things can affect you!

From then on, I made a promise to myself that I would strive to become an amazing lawyer and follow the footsteps of my brother! Until this very day, I get closer and closer to my goal! Although I'm still very far, I'm thankful to my brother for indirectly giving me the inspiration I needed to start my goals!

Thank you gavel, thank you very much!
